CONSTRUCTION
The lightning line in your risk assessment, made real.
The Construction Regulations expect a documented risk assessment and safe work procedures for identified hazards. Lightning is one of them for crane, scaffold, roof, steel and open-trench work. FlashAware gives each site its own STOP and PREPARE calls to the site agent, safety officer and foremen — by SMS, WhatsApp and email — and keeps the audit log your SHE file needs.
Built for site reality
SMS reaches the foreman
Not everyone on site has data. Site Pro sends SMS alongside WhatsApp and email, with delivery receipts for each.
Escalation when nobody answers
If a STOP is not acknowledged within your set minutes, FlashAware escalates to the next contact — and logs that too.
Per site, month to month
Add a site when the contract starts, remove it at handover. No annual lock-in; the audit export stays available.
The SHE file, filled in
Every alert, receipt, acknowledgement and ALL CLEAR is in the audit log with a CSV export for the safety officer's weekly report.
Incident replay
After a near-miss, step through the storm minute by minute and show the client and the inspector what the site knew and when.
Roles for the team
Admins set thresholds, operators acknowledge, viewers (client, principal agent) read only.

What onboarding covers
We set up your sites and radii with your safety officer on a short call, load the recipients, verify phones, run a test alert to every channel, and hand over a one-page procedure for the site file. Multi-site contractors get volume pricing.
Construction questions
Does FlashAware satisfy the Construction Regulations on its own?
No system does. The regulations require your risk assessment, safe work procedures and supervision. FlashAware is a control you can name in that procedure and evidence from its audit log.
What thresholds suit a construction site?
Defaults are STOP when a flash is detected within 10 km in the last 15 minutes (any flash closer than 5 km triggers immediately), PREPARE at a flash within 20 km in the last 15 minutes, and ALL CLEAR after 30 quiet minutes. Sites with crane or roof work often widen STOP to 12–15 km. All of it is adjustable per site.
Can the client or principal agent see the alerts?
Yes, as a read-only viewer on your organisation, or via the CSV export you include in the monthly report.
